Monty is the youngest but will become the most energetic of the family

Me and Simon decided that we wanted another dog and after having Oscar it was an easy decision to look for another German wirehaired pointer (gwp) . On paper this should have been easy, just look for a litter to become available and take one home. This turned out to not be the case, gwp’s can be rarer than other breeds and this is especially the case when you want one as a pet and not to use for work. So when we found Montys litter in Scotland we had to take the opportunity and quickly. So at 9 weeks old we drove from our little home in Cheshire and made our journey up to northern Scotland. Skipping ahead and we have a large but very snuggly gwp and it was the best decision we ever made. It’s not always easy but being able to see him run around with his big brother Oscar and causing mischief wherever we go is the best gift we could have given ourselves.
